Common Questions
How do we start?
If you think Counselling might be helpful, we can arrange to meet for an exploratory session costing £20.
During this session we will explore whats brought you to counselling, and whats happening in your life at the moment. If we are both happy that counselling is the best course of action we could arrange to meet for some further sessions.

How often will we meet?
Each session is held weekly on the same day at the same time. There can be some flexibility for people with irregular patterns of work.

Cancelled or missed sessions?
Cancellations are sometimes inevitable. Should this be necessary, 24 hours notice are required for all cancelled sessions. Missed sessions without notice are payable at the agreed session rate.

How long will counselling take?
We may agree to work together for a six week period and then review how things are working for you and whether you want to continue.

Some issues may take longer, others shorter. The key is that both of us will commit to working on the counselling process together.

How will we end?
Usually, we will mutually agree about the right time to come to an ending.
Confidentiality?
All sessions are completely confidential and no information is shared with third parties. My work is supervised anonymously, my supervisor shares my commitment to confidentiality.
The only reason I would break confidentiality is if you give me reason to believe that you might harm yourself or someone else. (I would only disclose after talking with you first)

rather we upset ourselves by believing that they can upset us'.
